Cedar River Salmon Journey

Sat/Sun Oct 10/11 FREE

Fall is here! Get outside to enjoy it and come watch salmon as they head up river to spawn. Beginning in mid-September, Chinook and sockeye begin entering the river, followed by coho in mid-October. Come learn about their habitat and the things we can all do to help keep our local salmon (and orcas too!) safe. October is peak viewing season for sockeye and the best month to spot all three species. In response to COVID-19, all the usual in-person salmon programming has been canceled. But you can download family-friendly activities and visit the Cedar River with your family to spot salmon! See website for more information.

Campfire: Improvised Ghost Stories (Virtual)

Sat Oct 10 8:30 p.m. Cost: $5-15

Take a trip back to the campfires of childhood, when talented storytellers spun spooky stories around the fire. At this event, improvisers gather true-life events from YOU and turn them into improvised campfire stories and hilarious scenes. Some stories are scary and some are funny, but all of them will have you perched on the edge of your screen. You can also submit your spooky story in advance. The host might choose it as material for the improvisers. If the host chooses your story, you will get a free household ticket for the night. So please make sure to pick the nights that you are available.
