May Day Celebration at Meridian Park

Come celebrate the season of Spring and the coming of Summer with a May Day Celebration happening in beautiful Meridian Park (with a fabulous playground) in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle.

This free event celebrates the beginning of summer with features including a community potluck picnic, flower headdress making, children's crafts and games, live music, and of course a dance around the Maypole.

have costume performances, 3 Maypoles, and will feature musical performances from the fabulous Ricky Gene and the Return of the Deadgrass, community drum circle lead by Carold Nelson, and family friendly drum circle with Jamtown John!

Both drummers are featured artists in the Rhythm Tent at NW Folklife!
