Description
Set on Lake Washington’s 1.5 miles of shoreline, Seafair Festival Weekend is a hydroplane racing event, air show, and festival all rolled into one. The highlights are the Boeing Seafair Air Show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and hydro star Miss HomeStreet racing at over 220 MPH in the HomeStreet Bank Cup.
At the Seafair Festival Weekend HomeStreet Bank Cup is the ultimate prize for teams competing in high-speed hydroplane racing, and the Seafair Festival Weekend is the perfect location to host this event, with over 70 years of history and multiple boat classes to enjoy whether you watch from the shore at Genesee Park or from a boat moored at the Seafair Log Boom.
At the Seafair Boeing Seafair Airshow, taking place overhead, witness the skill and precision of the US Navy Blue Angels and the US Army Golden Knights.
Seafair Weekend Festival Seafair Weekend features live music, delicious food and beverage options, and various family-friendly activities.
TRANSPORTATION
Fans are invited to get to the park using public transportation, including Metro and Link Light Rail, as well as ride-share and bicycle options. Guests arriving via Link Light Rail can get off at the Columbia Center Station and take advantage of their free round-trip shuttle service from the station to the park Friday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
If you don't go to watch the events live, you can tune in to KONG TV with live coverage of the races and air show. Or, tune in to 88.9 FM The Bridge for Log Boom Radio, Mercer Island High School’s radio station, which will be broadcasting the excitement all weekend long.
(If your kids are likely to get overwhelmed by the roaring sounds of the Blue Angels overhead, the world's fastest boats racing not far off-shore, and a big, celebratory crowd.
