Description
The Vashon Island Strawberry Festival is an old-time tradition filled with intergenerational fun. This year the festival runs July 19 to 21. Hop a morning ferry from the Fauntleroy terminal in West Seattle.
Enjoy eating the ripe red berries in jams, sundaes, lemonade, pie, and the best of all strawberry shortcake, dancing to live music, and strolling among artist and vendor booths and the parade on Saturday (Kiddie Parade at 10:45 am, Main Parade 11 am).
Live music is a main attraction at the Vashon Island Strawberry Festival and will be on the Main Stage at Vashon Village. See the full schedule.
In 2024, the theme, “Arts, Heritage, Culture.” They will welcome Vashon vendors and select off-island vendors along Vashon Highway, and are pleased to host a robust Main Stage lineup, and entertainment for kids and youth.
This year’s Vashon Strawberry Festival will include the following attractions especially for kids:

Kid’s Parade

Vashon Highway, Methodist Church to Village Green
No registration is necessary, but kids must be accompanied by adult. Line-up at the Methodist Church at 10 am to 10:30 am.
Kiddie Parade starts at 10:45 am.
Puget Sound Lego Train Club
Saturday, July 20. 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Vashon Library
Join PSLTC for an island of Lego adventure! They’ll have a large-scale working train model on display, a giant topographical Lego map of Vashon, and tons of Legos for kids to play with and build.
123 Andrés
Saturday, July 20. 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Main at Ober Parkstage
123 Andrés are the Grammy-winning music duo 123 Andrés, and their songs and concerts get the whole family singing and learning, in Spanish and English.
The Reptile Man
Sunday, July 21 at 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Main Stage at Ober Park
In addition to his presentation, Reptile Man will also share up close, hands-on experiences with wild and exotic animals!
