Get ready for a train adventure! This summer, Day Out With Thomas: The Party Tour is steaming into the Northwest Railway Museum. Celebrate 80 years of Thomas & Friends with a day of party-themed games, live entertainment, hands-on activities, and unforgettable train rides.

What’s in store for families?

Hop aboard a real train ride pulled by Thomas himself — Thomas will take you for a short ride to and from Snoqualmie Falls. Then, head to the Celebration Station for party-themed games and activities. Kids can play with Thomas & Friends toys in the Play Pod, sport a cool temporary tattoo, and follow an activity sheet through four key station stops for a special free gift.

There’s live entertainment, including the popular Eric Ode, and outdoor fun like a bouncy racetrack. Don’t forget to meet Sir Topham Hatt, the Controller of the Railway, and take plenty of photos with Thomas. Your ticket also includes admission to the Northwest Railway Museum’s Train Shed exhibits, giving curious kids a chance to explore real trains and learn about railway history.

You’ll also find a gift shop with exclusive Thomas & Friendsâ„¢ goodies (only available at the event), snacks and drinks for purchase, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy Snoqualmie’s charming historic downtown district—a nice place for a little shopping or a family meal after your big adventure.

Advice from a mom who’s attended this event a handful of times with toddlers in tow (me!):

  1. Plan for lots of waiting in line and crowds
  2. Bring plenty of snacks, a hat, and sunscreen
  3. A stroller can make it through the station’s tight spaces and crowds, but bring a backup carrying pack, too
  4. Parking the car can get tricky, so go early and park in designated lots along the main street

Event dates:

  • July 11-13, 2025
  • July 18-20, 2025
  • July 25- 27, 2025

All at the Northwest Railway Museum, 38625 SE King Street, Snoqualmie, WA 98065.  Tickets sell out quickly, so be sure to reserve yours soon!
