Seattle Audubon: Fledglings and Friends

Your littlest ones (ages 2-5) can take flight in this preschool program held at the Seattle Audubon Nature Shop every third Wednesday of the month. Explore the outdoors, do an art project, and listen to a story! March 18, 10:30 am. Theme: Fungus and Mushrooms. No RSVP or pre-registration required. Free.

Lewis Creek Story Time

Solve nature’s mysteries at the Lewis Creek Visitor Center with a story and investigation into local animals and plants, then hit the trails to discover the park’s wetlands. Find out about ocean life and the Puget Sound’s prehistoric sixgill sharks (ages 3-7). RSVP required for children and adults by 4 pm the day before the program at 425-452-4195 or LCVC@bellevuewa.gov. Story Time at the Miller Library

Inspire your little gardener with stories and crafts about plants! Hosted by the UW Botanic Gardens, the Miller Library celebrates horticulture with kids (ages 3-8) and their families one Saturday each month. March 21, 10:30 am. Plant a Seed Storytime. No registration required. Free.

Story and a stroll at Mercer Slough Park

Animal tracks, food, and scat are only a few of the many things kids (ages 3-5) learn about at the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center.
