Seattle Children's Garden is an amazing play space that celebrates all needs and abilities. Come explore this garden at Open Play day, meet the staff, visit with the animals, and work on a fun construction, art or garden project.

 

Zookeeper Academy

Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
NW Trek Wildlife Park

Ever wonder what a keeper does to care for wild animals? Come learn from the keepers themselves at Zookeeper Academy at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park during a day of keeper chats, hands-on activities and more. Free with admission ($7.95-$23).

 

Chinese Calligraphy & Painting

Saturday, July 20, 2 to 4 p.m.
Central Library
FREE

Head to the Central Library downtown this Saturday for a fun activity. Local artists from the Green Lake Arts Club will teach the basics of creating a simple Chinese painting and a calligraphy work. Art supplies will be provided. Stamp your work with a special Chinese seal and take it home! 

 

Shakespeare in the Park

Bug Safari

Magnolia Branch of Seattle Public Libraries

Come to the Magnolia Branch of the Seattle Public Library to explore nature, learn about ecosystems, and discover the diversity of insects in our backyard during a fun afternoon! Learn to be a citizen scientist and help further research into arthropods and their habitats. 

 

Bite of Seattle

Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The annual Bite is back! This year features more than 60 restaurants, 5 entertainment stages, a Family Fun Zone, amazing chef demonstrations and more. No pets, please. Admission is free; food prices are $10 or less.
