Sun’s Out, Fun’s Out: Seattle festivals & fairs to hit in 2025

Parades, fair food, rides, animals, entertainment, and more!

Summer 2025 is a great time to get outdoors and enjoy fair foods, community festivals, and all the entertainment (musical, theatrical, demos, and more) that go along with these special outings. The entire family will have an amazing and memorable time. Here is a list of family-friendly festivals and fairs that feature kid parades, art, cultural celebrations, delicious foods, live dance and music performances, kid activities, and much more.

May 2025

Seattle

Northwest Folklife Festival | May 23-26 | Hours vary | Seattle Center | Free | This family-friendly festival, a vibrant tapestry of music, dance, arts, food, traditions, and heritage. There will be tons of performances, workshops and more for all ages. Donations suggested.

Bite of Greece | May 30-June 1 | Hours vary | Greek Orthodox Church of the Assumption | Free | All ages | 3-day festival featuring traditional street-style lunch and dinner, handmade Greek pastries, crafts and imported deli items for sale in the marketplace.

Puget Sounds Bird Fest | May 31-June 1 | Hours vary | 700 Main St, Edmonds | Free | All ages | Weekend celebration of birds and nature. Enjoy festival favorites such as the Kids’ Corner, guided walks, the Sunday Boat Cruise, presentations by local experts, and more.

Panda Fest | June 6-8 | Hours vary | Seattle Center Fisher Pavilion | $15-$35 | Tickets here | Three day festival held at the Seattle Center with over 70 Asian food vendors, 15+ merchandise vendors, cultural performances, inflatable and bounce houses and much more!

PhinneyWood Summer Arts Festival | Sunday, June 8 | 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Phinney Center, Seattle | Free | Come see 80 local artisans, original crafts, art, and unique finds from local artisans. There will be live music, children’s activities, food trucks, and more. Join a workshop & items for purchase.

Beacon Arts Street Fair | June 14 – September 13 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Second Saturdays | Roberto Maestas Festival St |  Free | Join the Beacon Arts Street Fair every Second Saturday of each month through September. It features a pop-up market, family fun, garden workshops, live music, and more.

Fremont Fair | June 21-22 | Hours vary | Fremont Ave N, Seattle | Free | Kick off summer at the Fremont Fair with 2 stages of live music, 300+ craft vendors, beer gardens, art cars, and parades. The fair will have special activities for kids and families.

Seattle Festál Cultural Festivals | June 28-September 14 | Hours vary | Seattle Center | Free | Experience the many cultures of the Pacific Northwest through Festál celebrations. Duvall Days Festival | June 6-7 | Hours vary | Duvall Main Street | Free | All ages | You can expect vendor booths, live music, youth performances, and art demonstrations. There will be a grand parade and car show as well as a 5K run.

Children’s Business Fair | Saturday, June 28 | 1 to 5 p.m. | Downtown Park Redmond | Free | Youth4us brings the Redmond Children’s Business Fair, a free opportunity for children ages 6-15 to explore their passion, ideate, create a product of their interest, and launch their own business.

North of Seattle

Strawberry Festival | Saturday, June 7 | 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Richmond Beach Park | Free | Activities include live music, parade, children’s activities, face painting, food trucks and of course delicious strawberry shortcake!

Edmonds Art Festival | June 13-15 | Hours vary | Frances Anderson Center, Edmonds | Free | All ages | The Festival offers entertainment, a juried gallery art exhibition and sale, a juried student art exhibit, and a hands-on children’s art activity area.

Baby Animals & Berries Festival | June 14-29 | 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. | Sat/Sun | Swans Trail Farms | $12-$25 | Tickets here | Get a personal experience with the baby goats, lambs, calves, chicks, ducklings, rabbits, and more. Admission includes access to the petting barnyard area and over 30+ activities and games.

South of Seattle

Kent Nerd Festival | Saturday, June 7 | 2 to 7 p.m. | Downtown Kent | Free | Tickets here | All ages | The festival will feature live music, special guests, painting/cosplay contests, demos, craft workshops and much more.

Meeker Days Art & Music Festival | June 13-15 | Hours vary | Downtown Puyallup | Free | All ages | Features live music, food vendors, a classic car show, variety entertainment, inflatable play places, beer gardens, family activities, and more!

Slimy Slug Fest | June 28-29 | 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Northwest Trek Wildlife Park | $16+ | Tickets here | The event will include the popular human slug races, tentacle headbands crafts, slug trivia, and earning stamps for a passport by participating in slug activities throughout the wildlife park.

West of Seattle

Seafair Pirates Landing | Saturday, June 28 | 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. | Alki Beach Bathhouse | Free | All ages | The pirates will be landing around 1 to 1:30 p.m. with festivities beforehand. Once on the beach, the Pirates will entertain kids of all ages with treasures galore to share.

Seattle

Ballard SeafoodFest | July 11-13 | Hours vary | Ballard | Free | Experience the ultimate celebration of Ballard with live music, family fun, arts and crafts, food vendors, and seafood. Check out their Festi-Bowl all-ages skateboarding event.

Wallingford Kiddie Parade | Saturday, July 12 | 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. | Free | Meridian Playfield, Seattle | Everyone is welcome to join in the Wallingford Kiddie Parade fun. This is a Kiddie Parade, designed to bring amusement to kids of all ages! (Dogs are ok, too).

Children’s Parade & Picnic | Saturday, July 12 | 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Madison Park | Free | All ages | There will be a parade with Fire Engine followed by games, face painting, crafts, snow cones, music and much much more.

Seattle Outdoor Theater Festival | July 12-13 | Hours vary | Volunteer Park | Free | SOTF consists of multiple theatre companies coming together in one park to present a full weekend of live and free theatre at Volunteer Park. There will be Shakespeare performances, play readings, and a youth Shakespeare workshop.

Seattle Festál Cultural Festivals | July 12-September 14 | Hours vary | Seattle Center | Free | Experience the many cultures of the Pacific Northwest through Festál celebrations. Bon Odori Festival | July 19-20 | 2 to 8 p.m. | Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Temple | Free | A traditional summer festival that features Japanese food booths and refreshments, live music, taiko and martial arts performances, and craft exhibits and demonstrations.

Bite of Seattle | July 25-27 | Hours vary | Seattle Center | Free, items to purchase | All ages | This food festival features over 300+ local vendors, beer and wine gardens, cider tastings, local artisans, and over 65+ musical performers.

Seafair Torchlight Parade  | Saturday, July 26 | 7:30 p.m. | Seattle Waterfront | Free | There will be dragon dancers, precision drill teams or marching bands to prancing horses, local favorite sports teams, military bands, and the legendary Seafair Pirates.

East of Seattle

Hopelink Neighborhood Fair | Friday, July 11 | 11 to 3 p.m. | Hopelink, Redmond | Free | This Fair brings the community together with local food, kid-friendly activities, music, and dance performances.

Redmond Derby Days | July 11-12 | Hours vary | Redmond City Hall | Free | This free summer festival celebrates the Redmond Community. Featuring a kid’s bike parade and a grand parade, food and craft vendors, carnival rides, and ends with a lighted drone show.

Redmond Arts Festival  | July 11-13 | Hours vary | Redmond Town Center | Free | This three-day outdoor festival features artist booths, a community art project, kids’ chalk art, and live entertainment. The festival is produced in conjunction with Redmond’s Derby Days celebration.

Japan Fair | July 12-13 | Hours vary | Meydenbauer Center Bellevue | Free | A two-day festival showcasing traditional and modern Japanese arts & culture, music, and technology. Live music, performances, workshops, and demonstrations.

Bellevue Arts Museum Arts Fair | July 25-27 | Hours vary | Bellevue Arts Museum | Free | This fair features handmade crafts and art, free programming including BAM exhibitions, an online marketplace, a Kids Fair, food trucks, and more. The BAMboozle Stage features local music and dance for kids.

North of Seattle

Salty Sea Days Festival  | July 11-12 | Hours vary | Downtown Everett | Free | The beloved tradition of Salty Sea Days is a summer block party in Downtown Everett. Featuring live music, a beer garden, food trucks, and family-friendly activities.

Mill Creek Festival and Street Fair | July 12-13 | Hours vary | 911 161st St SE, Mill Creek | Free | Join this annual street fair, featuring artist & vendor booths, food booths, community & main stages, and beer/wine gardens. The community stage will offer family-friendly activities and performances, see schedule here.

Wedgwood Art Festival  | July 12-13 | Hours vary | Our Lady of the Lake Church, Seattle | Free | Join a fun-filled weekend with more than 70 art booths, Seattle food trucks, a beer garden, face painting, free kid’s art activities, and more. Seattle firetruck will visit and let kids sit in the truck.

Kla Ha Ya Days  | July 18-20 | Hours vary | Downtown Snohomish | Free | The City of Snohomish’s Kla Ha Ya Days, is a “good, old-fashioned” summer fair that includes a pancake breakfast, a Frogtastic Kids Fair, a parade, a balloon glow, a Street Fair and much more. 

MLT Festival | July 18-20 | Hours vary | Downtown Mountlake Terrace & Evergreen Playfield Complex | Free | Welcome to the MLT Festival, a weekend packed with fun events including live entertainment, a parade, pancake breakfast, a fun run and much more. The parade will be on Friday, July 18 at 6:45 p.m.

Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire | July 19 – August 17 | Saturday & Sundays | $22+ | Sky Meadows Park, Snohomish | Tickets here | Cheer on brave & noble knights from all across Europe during the joust & battle performances, and enjoy the music of the times from world-renowned musical acts, improv comedy, and non-stop entertainment.

AfroLatino Festival | July 2025 dates coming soon |  Cedar Valley Community School, Lynnwood | Free | Enjoy the cultural variety and musical diversity, with the participation of local musical groups and different rhythms, Salsa, Merengue, Jazz, Fusion, Reggae, Folklore Dancers, and more.

Fire Rescue Spectacular | Saturday, July 12 | 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Hands on Children’s Museum, Olympia | Free | All ages | The free street fair is held outside the Museum and is guaranteed to be an action-packed day. Kids can explore Olympia’s fleet of emergency vehicles, take the Junior Firefighter Challenge, meet Sparky the Fire Dog, and enjoy free popsicles.

Covington Days Festival  | July 19-20 | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. | 27100 169th Pl SE, Covington | Free | The festival kicks off with a parade, and then festival grounds come alive with arts and crafters, family activities, on-stage entertainment, inflatable toys, a watermelon eating contest, and more.

Vashon Island Strawberry Festival  | July 18-20 | Hours vary | Downtown Vashon Island | Free |  This old-time tradition is perfect for the family. It is just a ferry ride away and has live music, a parade, a car show,  family and kid zones, and more!

Sequim Lavender Festival | July 18-20 | Hours vary | Carrie Blake Park, Sequim | Free | Sequim celebrates all things lavender and offers the local community, and the many visitors free lavender farm tours, a street fair with artisan booths, live music, and food and community events.

Alki Beach Art Fair | July 18-20 | Hours vary | Alki Beach Park | Free | All ages | Alki Beach comes to life with artist booths, live music, interactive kid’s activities, food carts, and more at this family-friendly art fair. The art fair offers lots of fun and creative activities for kids.

August 2025

 Seattle

Seafair Weekend Festival | August 1-3 | 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. | Genesee Park | $22-$85 | Tickets here | All ages | This is a hydroplane racing event, air show, and festival all rolled into one. There will be live music, a car show, family friendly activities and more. Admission free on Friday, August 1.

Ananda Mela Joyful Festival of India | August 9-10 | 12 to 9 p.m. | Redmond City Hall | Free | The Ananda Mela Joyful Festival of India features Indian music, dance, games, face painting, food, and more. There will be plenty of inflatables and activities to engage children.

Celebrate Woodinville Festival | Saturday, August 9 | 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Wilmot Gateway Park | Free | This festival offers a pancake breakfast, a parade, a classic car show, and kids’ activities, bouncy houses, and more. King County’s CHOMP! | Saturday, August 16 | 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. | Marymoor Park, Redmond | Free | Bring the family to CHOMP! A free celebration of local food and family fun with petting zoos, kids’ concerts, and more!

Lynnwood Luau Festival  | Saturday, August 16 | 2 to 8 p.m. | Lynnwood Event Center | Free | Come celebrate and embrace Hawaiian culture at this free summer festival. Live music, dance performances, and taste authentic Hawaiian food. This event is family-friendly and welcomes all ages.

Celebrate Shoreline Festival | Saturday, August 16 | 12 to 9 p.m. | Cromwell Park, Shoreline | Free | The festival features live music and shows on multiple stages, pony rides, children’s theater, toy workshop, hands-on activities, and a beer garden. Snohomish Block Party  | Saturday, August 16 | 1:30 to 10 p.m. | Harvey Airfield | $35+ | Tickets here | This lively street fair and artisan market spans the streets of downtown Snohomish and showcases live music, unique vendors, delicious eats, and family-friendly activities. It costs admission for street fair.

Fresh Paint Art Festival  | August 16-17 | Hours vary | Schack Art Center, Everett | Free | Enjoy artists booths, vendors, live entertainment, interactive art activities, glassblowing, food trucks. Kids can enjoy a chalk zone, magic ink, artist demos & activities and more!

SummerFest Community Fair | August 2025: dates coming soon | Downtown Bothell | Free | Come join this community fair that will feature a dog parade, business expo, food trucks, music, and children’s activities.

Summer Farm Fest at Rooted Northwest | 2025 dates coming soon | Rooted Northwest, Arlington | Free |  There will be lots to do for all ages including a kid’s booth with crafts, farm tours, workshops and crafts, photos with sunflowers, feed ducks, and much more. There will be fresh veggies, flowers, medicinal herbs, pigs, and chickens.

South of Seattle

Tacoma Kite Festival | August 2-3 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Chambers Creek Regional Park | Free | Tickets here | The entire family will experience kite demonstrations, family kite flying, inflatables, food trucks, vendors, and other fun activities! Free event, but parking admission required.

Glass Fest Northwest | Saturday, August 9 | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Museum of Glass, Tacoma | Free | Enjoy local artists and artisans, live glassmaking demonstrations, food, drinks, music, and hands-on activities.

Big Day of Play | Saturday, August 16 | 12 to 5 p.m. | Rainier Community Center, Seattle | Free | Look forward to live performances, bounce houses, a wellness vendor fair with community opportunities, food trucks, and more!

Cajun Fest | Saturday, August 16 | 2 to 7 p.m. | Burlington Green Park, Kent | Free | Join the Annual Cajun Fest, a vibrant celebration of Cajun culture, music, and cuisine. This annual extravaganza will feature the rich traditions of Louisiana with delicious food and drink, live music and more.

Kittitas County Fair | August 28-September 1 | Hours vary | Kittitas Valley Event Center | $6+ | Tickets here | a grand old-fashioned county fair, with games, carnival rides, entertainment, contests, judged 4-H exhibits and events and an abundance of livestock.

Washington State Fair | August 29-September 21 | Hours vary | Puyallup | Tickets here | Enjoy 75+ rides, endless food options, and live entertainment, rodeo action and much more at this large fair. Closed on Tuesdays and September 3.

Kite Festival at Long Beach | August 2025: dates coming soon | 303 Sid Snyder Dr, Long Beach, WA | Free for spectators | Washington State kite extravaganza sets skies ablaze with color, high flying action and choreographed movement. Washington’s Kite Festival draws famous kite fliers from all around the world.

Seattle Tilth Farm Fest  | 2025 dates coming soon | Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands | Free |Join Seattle Tilth for Farm Fest at Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands, a celebration of urban agriculture and the Southeast Seattle community. There will be demos, crafting, learning about nature, holistic healing and more.

Bremerton Blackberry Festival  | August 30 – September 1 | Hours vary | Bremerton Boardwalk | Free | This is the longest-running festival in the City of Bremerton.
