Kittitas County Fair

Description

Nestled in the heart of central Washington, the Kittitas County Fair is located in Ellensburg, Washington. Just a good old-fashioned county fair, with games, carnival rides, entertainment, contests, judged 4-H exhibits, and an abundance of livestock. They are also home to the historical Frontier Village.

• Thursday, September 3 - 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Friday, September 4 - 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Saturday, September 5 - 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Sunday, September 6 - 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Monday, September 7 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (FREE Admission ALL DAY for EVERYONE on Monday!)

Tickets can be purchased in advanced or at the fair. Ticket prices go up at the gate.

The Ellensburg Rodeo - one of the oldest and best rodeos in the country - is going on at the same time as the Fair, inside the fairgrounds. Read about the Rodeo HERE.

Don't miss the Frontier Village - tucked away in the southeast corner of the fairgrounds. Frontier Village gives you the opportunity to experience a sliver of life as the original settlers in the Kittitas Valley knew it. You have a chance to watch a blacksmith at work, learn to operate a crosscut saw, pan for gold at the old mine shaft, buy a soda, or a pickle and some nickel candy. The area consists of historic buildings, many of which were donated by valley families.

It's about a two-hour drive on I-90 to Ellensburg, although if you choose to go on Labor Day, you might find heavy traffic returning to the city.
