There’s a chill in the air and a whole new season to celebrate with Oktoberfests, cultural celebrations, classic harvest and pumpkin festivals, apple-themed weekends and other one-of-a-kind fall events around Seattle. Autumn in the Seattle area brings a packed calendar of festivals celebrating just about everything we love about the season. Here is a list of family-friendly festivals and fairs featuring time on the farm, delicious food, art, live dance and music performances, plenty of kid-centered activities, and much more, including many that are free to attend.

Oktoberfests
Kenmore Oktoberfest | Sept. 12–20, 2026 | Hours vary by event | Various locations throughout Kenmore | Free | Bavarian food and music, family activities, a 5K and 10K family fun run, and Wiener Dog Races. Pricing varies by event; many activities are free.
Edmonds Oktoberfest Family Festival | Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12; Sept. 12 is Kids Korner (family day) | Friday, Sept 11, 3-11 p.m. with Entertainment Zone for those ages 21 and over only at a cost of $12 per person; Saturday, families may enter the Entertainment Zone noon–7 p.m. (adults $12, kids are free); Kids Korner noon–6 p.m. is free, all ages.
