Tulip season is arriving early in the Skagit Valley! Tulip Town, one of the region’s most popular flower farms, will open for the season on March 28, 2026, thanks to a mild winter and warmer-than-usual temperatures.
Located in Mount Vernon, Tulip Town welcomes visitors each spring to its 30-acre farm, where more than six acres of tulips representing over 100 varieties bloom across the Skagit Valley floor.
“The mild winter and warm temperatures mean we’re likely to see blooms earlier than usual,” said Tulip Town Farm Manager Steve Johnson.
Visitors can stroll through the fields on foot, hop aboard the farm’s trolley for a scenic loop, or explore the display gardens planted throughout the grounds.
The farm’s 10,000-square-foot barn offers an ADA-accessible indoor space where guests can relax with espresso drinks, café fare, and local beer or wine while enjoying views of the fields. Inside, visitors will find goods from Pacific Northwest makers and fresh-cut tulip bouquets to take home.
QR codes throughout the fields help identify specific tulip varieties and pre-order bulbs for fall delivery. Guests can also make a wish in Tulip Town’s wishing canal, which raises funds for the nonprofit Children of the Valley, supporting education and mentorship for under-resourced Skagit Valley youth.
Families are welcome to bring leashed dogs at no additional charge.
The farm will also host Easter egg hunts on April 4-5. Kids ages 10 and under can participate in free hunts with admission at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and noon, including photos with the Easter Bunny. Adults can join a ticketed hunt at 2 p.m. or 3 p.m., with a complimentary glass of bubbles, wine, or beer.
General admission tickets range between $12-$21 and vary based on day and time. GA includes parking and entry to Tulip Town, a trolley ride (weather depedant), and access to the beer and wine garden. Kids 5 and under are free
Despite winter flooding in Skagit County earlier this season, local growers report the tulip fields remain in good shape — meaning visitors can still expect vibrant blooms throughout the valley this spring.
