Seattle Festival Orchestra Family Concert

Description

The Seattle Festival Orchestra opens its 50th anniversary season with Sabre Dance: Family Concert at Aurora Community Church in Shoreline. The program opens with music by Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian, including selections from his dramatic Spartacus Suite No. 2, the iconic, energetic Sabre Dance, and the sweeping Waltz from Masquerade. Contemporary composer Eldar Hudiyev’s Circus, featuring clarinet soloist Benjamin Lulich, brings a playful and dazzling contrast to the program.

NOTE: The Family concert is abridged, and will not include Hovhaness's Mount St. Helens. Attendees should expect some audience "chatter," as children typically comprise a large portion of our audience.

This concert is free and open to all. Reserve your ticket here.
