Do you have an idea to improve your neighborhood park, or a project to help strengthen the connections in your community?
The Neighborhood Matching Fund, a program of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, is hosting two free workshops for those interested in applying to the Small and Simple Projects Fund this June. The Small and Simple Projects Fund provides matching awards of up to $25,000 to neighborhood groups and community organizations for community-building projects.
At the workshop you will get an overview of the Neighborhood Matching Fund, the qualities of a good project and the application process and requirements. To RSVP, call 206-733-9916 or go online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/SASWorkshops. Childcare and interpreters can be arranged when you RSVP (please request these services at least 72 hours in advance).
The workshops are scheduled as follows:
- Saturday, May 10, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club, 4520 Martin Luther King Jr. Way S.
- Thursday, May 15, 6 – 8 p.m., Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute, 104 17th Ave. S.
