The worst part of hauling bins of blocks and building toys to the family room is the clean up. Around here, it's possible to find a rogue Lincoln Log hiding behind a bookshelf weeks after its last use. Thankfully, no cleanup is required at SPL's Lego-centric event today. Central Library is bringing out the tinker toys, straws & connectors and Legos for a school's out drop-in playtime from 10 am to 3 pm.

Today at 2 p.m., the Montlake library branch hosts "Slime!" in conjunction with Pacific Science Center. 4 to 7-year-olds can "enjoy handling a non-Newtonian fluid that both flows and breaks, and brainstorm creative ways to use it." Pre-registration is required. Call 206-684-4720 before you go.
