This week brings Easter fun, classical guitar, and math games.

This week brings a lot of Easter fun along with other odds and ends. You’ll find a bulk of the egg hunts on Saturday. See a round up here.

 

Monday, March 26

PJ Library Song & Story Time Enjoy singing, activities, and storytelling from the PJ Library’s collection of Jewish-themed children’s books. 11 a.m. Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park.

 

Tuesday, March 27

University Village Play Days Each week a different store hosts a special activity for kids. This week, Sole Food is hosting. 10 to 11 a.m. University Village, Seattle (U District).

Story Time for Kids Enjoy a dramatic reading of new and classic stories. 11 a.m. to noon. University Book Store, Seattle (U District).

Math Buddies Teen volunteers teach math with fun games and activities. 4 to 5 p.m. West Seattle Branch Library, West Seattle.

 

Wednesday, March 28

Wild Zone Exploration Look for bugs, explore the creek, play on hidden swings, or search for pirate’s treasure. 2 to 5:30 p.m. Seattle Children’s PlayGarden, Seattle (Central District).

Build It! Kids ages 5 and older are invited to build with an assortment of blocks. 2:30 to 4 p.m. West Seattle Branch Library, West Seattle.

Family Game Night The whole family is invited to play basketball, board games, and table games. Bring a game to play or borrow one. Snacks will be served. 6 to 7:30 p.m. Delridge Community Center, West Seattle.

Young Readers Society Held on the last Wednesday of the month, readers ages 8 to 12 are invited to discuss a book with their peers, and enjoy pizza. Parents not allowed. Today’s book, Rain Reign by Ann M. Martin. 6 to 7 p.m. Secret Garden Books, Seattle (Ballard).

Drop-In Fitness The last day in this fitness series hosted by Seattle Center is a workout for all ages. Bring water and comfortable shoes.  Take Zumba (6 p.m.) on the Armory Stage, Meditation (7 p.m.) in Armory Room Loft 1, or Yoga (7:30 p.m.) on Armory Stage.  Seattle Center Armory, Seattle (Lower Queen Anne).

 

Thursday, March 29

Teddy Bear Picnic Kids can bring their favorite stuffed animal along to enjoy stories and crafts. 10 to 10:45 a.m. Renton Library, Renton.

Mighty Mites Eggstravaganza Kids ages 5 and younger can enjoy play time followed by an egg hunt (11 a.m.).  10 a.m. to noon. Miller Community Center, Seattle (Capitol Hill).

Children’s Hour at Scarecrow Video Preschoolers and Kindergarteners can learn all about animal life in this ten-week, drop-in series. Each week, kids will enjoy video clips, books, and hands-on activities related to a different element of animal life. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Scarecrow Video, Seattle (Ravenna).

Ballard Locks Free Tour Learn all about the locks in this one-hour guided tour. 2 p.m. Thursday through Monday. Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, Seattle (Ballard).

Cartoon Happy Hour Watch cartoons on the big screen and enjoy special food and drink offers ($). 5 to 7 p.m. Central Cinema, Seattle (Central District).

 

Saturday, March 31

Family Easter Event Enjoy face painting, The Bubble Man (10 a.m.), a photo booth, arts & crafts, a performance by Mr. Ryan (1 p.m.), and an egg hunt (11 a.m.). Canned food donations are welcome. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wallinford Center, Seattle (Wallingford).

Spring Bunny Trail Arrive early for an egg hunt (10 a.m.) and stay to meet live rabbits. 10 a.m. Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center, Seattle (Ravenna).

Saturday Morning Story Time Enjoy songs and stories with storyteller, Eva Abrams. 11 a.m. Third Place Books, Seattle (Ravenna).

Spring Eggstravaganza Kids ages 11 and younger can enjoy a day full of Easter fun with a scavenger hunt (limited supplies, arrive early), petting farm, inflatables, basketball games, trampolines, arts & crafts, face painting and more. Noon to 4 p.m. Redmond Town Center, Redmond.

Free at the Frye: Alan Liu Hear live classical guitar music from young musician, Alan Liu. Free tickets available beginning at 1 p.m. Limited seating available, arrive early. 2 p.m. Frye Art Museum, Seattle (First Hill).

 

Sunday, April 1

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Today marks the first day of this month long festival featuring a variety of family friendly activities. Various locations throughout Skagit Valley.

Sunday Public Sail Each Sunday, the Center for Wooden Boats offers free 45-minute rides on Lake Union. Set sail on one of the classic boats. Sign up for a slot in person, several trips throughout the day. Space is limited. Sign up begins at 10 a.m. Center for Wooden Boats (Lake Union). 

Beacon Hill Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt Have some fun on Easter Sunday with an egg hunt, inflatables, crafts and cookie decorating. 1 to 4 p.m. Seattle Chinese Alliance Church, Seattle (Beacon Hill).

Lego Mania The meeting room will be full of blocks for kids to build whatever they can imagine.  1 to 4 p.m. Douglass-Truth Branch Library, Seattle (Central District).
