Free State Parks Day: Head out of town and explore one of our beautiful state parks for free today. Maybe your kids will find fresh snow or some epic muddy puddles.
MLK Day Rally and Youth March: Join a youth-led march from the Central District to Downtown Seattle ane celebrate change for the better in our community. MLK Day of Play: Honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a mini march around the park (make a sign if you'd like) followed by a de-segregated playtime. Then head to family-friendly Ravenna Brewing Company, where $2 from every drink will be donated to Kids and Race. 1 to 4 p.m. Ravenna Park, Seattle (Ravenna).

Science Fun for Little Ones: Learn about shapes and explore shapes of all sizes in our world. 10:30 a.m. to noon. Mercer Island Library.
The Goose Egg: Join children's author Liz Wong for a reading from her award-winning book about Henrietta the elephant. 6 p.m. University Bookstore, Seattle (U-District).
