“Empty Bowls” Event in Burien Benefits Highline and White Center Food Banks

Potters from the Moshier Art Center have teamed up with Discover Burien and Burien Parks and Recreation to host the "Empty Bowls 2011" event on Friday, Jan. 28, at the Burien Community Center (14700 6th Ave. S.W.).

With a minimum donation of $15 for adults and $10 for children, attendees get the opportunity to pick out a handmade bowl, donated by the potters, and a meal of soup, bread, drink and dessert donated by area businesses. Proceeds will benefit the Highline and White Center Food Banks.

Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner is served from 4 to 8 p.m. that day. For more information about Empty Bowls 2011, visit https://www.moshierartcenter.org/ or call 206-988-3700.
