Description
This Mexican holiday honors the deceased with a cultural extravaganza filled with food, drink, and festivities. Join the e “Día de los Muertos – Day of the Dead Celebration” and get to know your neighbors while experiencing the beauty of this holiday.
Schedule:
- 1:30 PM: Altar dedication with Raul Sanchez
- 1:30 PM: Baile Folklore Colibri
- 2:30 PM: Groupo Folklorico
- 1-4 PM: Tacos & Beer food truck restaurant in the parking lot with indoor seating available
- 1-4 PM: Mexican hot chocolate ($2) and pan de muerto ($4) available for purchase
- 1-4 PM: Free crafts – make paper flowers, beaded bracelets and temporary face tattoos.
- Bring photos and offerings for the community altar, built by the wonderful poet and community member Raul Sanchez. Altar will be up in the Phinney Center lobby the week before and after the event.
