Description
Come to Salmon SEEson in Issaquah, August through November. See salmon returning to Issaquah Creek from the W Sunset Way bridge near Newport Way NW. There is street parking available along W Sunset Way east of the bridge. And just remember to pack out whatever you bring in. They want to keep the streams and rivers healthy for these busy fish and other wildlife.
For kids, the hatchery offers a self-guided scavenger hunt. The hatchery hosts free events such as the Salmon on Sunset Celebration (Saturday, September 13, 10-6 pm) & the Salmon Days Festival. Both draw crowds. Tuesdays in October feature salmon spawning.
The FISH gift shop is open daily (10a-2 pm) with extended weekend hours (10 am-6 pm) and offers hatchery specific souvenirs and gear, local gifts, eco-friendly toys, as well as local and native artist wears.
