We’ve rounded up dozens of no-cost events where kids can show off their costumes, collect candy, and make spooky-sweet memories — without frightening your wallet.

Free Halloween Events in Seattle
Volunteer Park Halloween Pet Parade | Sunday, October 4 | 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Volunteer Park, Seattle | Free | All ages | The parade is back and expect it to be bigger and sillier than ever. Last year over 900 community members rolled through Volunteer Park in creative costumes as did your pets. It’s fabulous furry family fun. Not to mention prizes, food trucks, and more. Happy Haunts Carnival & Haunted Hunt | Friday, Oct. 16 | 4-7 p.m. | Ravenna Eckstein Community Center | Free | The Haunted Hunt is a themed game that adjusts in spookiness for each age group. From 4-4:30pm will specifically be for ages 2-5 with an age appropriate storyline and activities. From 4:30 p.m., older kids will experience spookier storylines in age-appropriate groups.
Halloween Bounce & Swim | Friday, Oct. 23 | 6-8 p.m. | Green Lake Community Center & Evans Pool | Free; register here. | This haunted celebration has it all: carnival games and bouncy houses (6-8 p.m.), a public swim (7-8 p.m.), and a family swim where you dodge the floating pumpkins. A canned food donation will support a local food bank.
Familes of Color Seattle (FOCS) Fall Festival and Coat Giveaway | Saturday, October 24 | 3 to 6 p.m. | Judkins Park, 2150 S. Norman St., Seattle, near the playground | Free | All ages | Celebrate fall with cultural performances, five hands-on art activities for all ages, and food from local BIPOC-owned restaurants. Families in need can also pick up free new coats in sizes ranging from newborn to adult 5X. Register in advance for the coat giveaway to help organizers reserve the sizes you need, although registration is not required. No registration is needed for the festival. The event takes place rain or shine, with covered areas in case of wet weather. Look for the white canopies near the playground.
Thrill the World Seattle 2026 | Saturday, October 24 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | 17255 135th Ave NE, Woodinville, WA | Free | All ages | Twentieth annual global community dance proect, where participants and spectators join in a synchonized zombie flash mob to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” (3 p.m.).
