5011 Bernie Whitebear Way
Seattle, WA 98199
Description
Enjoy books written by Native authors at the Magnolia Branch, Magnolia Farmers' Market, and Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center.
A StoryWalk® is an outdoor reading experience: A picture book is installed on signposts along a walking route, where families can read along as they walk and enjoy the outdoors. StoryWalks® encourage reading, imagination, fitness and exploring your community.
The StoryWalks® are located outside partner locations including the Daybreak Star Preschool, the Magnolia Farmers' Market (Saturdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.), and the Magnolia Branch. Daybreak Star Preschool teachers chose the featured books, all by Indigenous authors, to reflect the 'Since Time Immemorial' curriculum to help connect the public to Seattle’s urban Native community.
