Families will be able to see, touch and learn about the abundant sea life and amazing treasures on our Puget Sound shores during several low tide beach walks this June and July.
For kids, learning about marine creatures doesn't come any easier than with the tactile experience of having sea anemone tentacles close in on their little fingers or stroking the rough exteriors of sea stars. The beach is the perfect platform for discovery.
Through the Beach Naturalist Program, low tide walks are scheduled for Richmond Beach, Carkeek Park, Constellation Park/South Alki, Lincoln Park, Saltwater State Park, Olympic Sculpture Park and more.
For additional naturalist-led beach walks, check out the offerings at Discovery Park in Seattle, Olympic Beach in Edmonds and Titlow Park in Tacoma.
