Homeless and At-Risk Youth Honored in Free “Butterfly Celebration” Event in Everett

On Tuesday, June 14, homeless and at-risk youth will emerge from the Cocoon House “Butterfly Celebration” armed with silver, gold or platinum achievement awards and feeling hopeful and prepared for a bright future.

The Butterfly Celebration is a free community event that celebrates the accomplishments of Cocoon House youth, who will share their personal stories and experiences. It will be held at the Comcast Event Center, located at 2000 Hewitt Ave. in Everett, starting at noon. Cocoon House is Snohomish County’s sole service provider supporting homeless, at-risk teens and families.

These teens and young adults have overcome various difficult life experiences in order to put their lives back on track. The Butterfly Celebration recognizes the courage these youth have shown and honors each individual’s achievements. Come hear their stories, celebrate their successes and show these very special young people how much their community admires them.
