Sandcastle dreams meet indoor comfort

PNW families, get your buckets and diggers ready — this fall, a giant indoor sandbox is opening in Issaquah. The Sand Garden is setting up shop in Issaquah (660 NW Gilman Blvd), and from the looks of it, it’s going to be a kid’s dream come true.

A Giant Indoor Sandbox, Rain or Shine

Picture this: a huge stretch of soft, clean sand indoors, so kids can dig, build, and bury “treasure” no matter what the weather’s doing outside. There will be toy excavators, bridges, and building blocks for endless construction projects — plus plenty of space for free play.

A Spot for Parents to Relax Too

The space itself looks just as fun for parents as it does for kids. There’s cozy seating along the edges of the sandbox, a snack and coffee corner for recharging, and long tables for art, crafts, or birthday party activities. The décor is bright and calming — leafy greens, twinkle lights, and garden touches that make the whole place feel cheerful and inviting.

It’s the kind of spot where kids can burn off energy and use their imaginations while grown-ups relax nearby. And because sand play is great for developing coordination, problem-solving, and teamwork, you can call it an afternoon of “learning” and mean it.

When and Where It’s Opening

The Sand Garden is set to open in Fall 2025, and they’re sharing updates, sneak peeks, and opening day details over on Instagram at @thesandgardenissaquah.

So yes — soon you’ll be able to give your kids the joy of a beach day in the middle of November. No sunscreen, no soggy towels — just hours of sandy, happy play.
