Jazz Concert Benefits Youth Nonprofit Bridges to Understanding

New York City-based jazz artist Rick DellaRatta will be at Tula’s Jazz Club in Belltown on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m. for a public concert to benefit the Seattle nonprofit Bridges to Understanding. This organization strives to empower and unite youth worldwide, enhance cross-cultural understanding and build global citizenship using digital technology and the art of storytelling.

The founder of the Jazz for Peace Foundation, DellaRatta has been called “the Bono of jazz,” and has performed with everyone from Dizzy Gillespie to Paquito D’ Rivera. Through his foundation, DellaRatta stages benefit concerts that use jazz to unite people and raise money for worthy organizations.
