National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Oct. 26

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and participating local law enforcement are coordinating a nationwide drug "take-back" day on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This one-day event will provide residents with no cost anonymous collection of unwanted and expired medicines.

Protect your kids and our environment by properly disposing of your unwanted and expired medicines. Medicines in the home are a leading cause of accidental poisoning and flushed or trashed medicines can end up polluting our waters. If you can't make this event, some communities, pharmacies and law enforcement are paying for temporary ongoing take-back programs to help you properly dispose of unwanted and expired medicines in your homes until a permanent statewide program is in place.
