Laurie Levy, LMP, MA, CBE, Certified Doula has been working with families as a doula and childbirth educator for nearly a decade. She teaches anatomy and or massage at area colleges and institutions including Simkin Center for Allied Birth Professions, Bastyr University, Green River Community College, Brenneke School of Massage. Midwife and Midwifery Educator Mary Yglasia has been educating midwives and supporting childbearing women for more than 15 years. She is the chairwoman of the Association of Midwifery Educators and a board member for Midwifery Education Accreditation Council. She is the former executive director of Seattle Midwifery School and currently administers the midwifery department at Bastyr University. She served as a private practice midwife in the Methow Valley in Eastern Washington.
Cheryl Murfin, CD, is a lactation educator, parent ducator and certified doula who has been serving childbearing women and their families for more than 15 years. She is the owner of Nesting Instincts Perinatal Services, a Seattle-area doula service, and serves as an editor at Seattle's Child magazine, specializing in pregnancy, newborn and postpartum issues.
