Paint a Mural in Support of a Coal-Free Future for Washington

Did you know that Washington has a coal plant? We do, and it is located in Centralia. Find out more about how coal affects you and your family’s health by joining CoolMom, Sierra Club and Earth Ministry on Saturday, Feb. 19, in West Seattle.

The event will be a fun-filled community gathering where we will paint a mural highlighting the need for a coal-free future for Washington. Information about Centralia’s use of coal for energy production will be highlighted at the event.

When: Saturday, Feb. 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Alki Beach in West Seattle, just south of the Bathhouse Theater
What: All ages are welcome. There will be music, speakers and free food.
