Panel Discussion on “Childcare 101” Next PEPS Parent Talk Lecture

As part of the Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS) Parent Talk Lecture Series, a group of panelists will be discussing “Childcare 101” at the Good Shepherd Center (649 Sunnyside Ave. N. in Seattle) on Wednesday, March 16, at 7 p.m.

Deciding on and securing childcare is one of the most daunting challenges new parents face. Childcare Resources will lead a panel of experts representing the major options for infant and toddler childcare to answer questions and help parents decide which option is best for their family. This lecture will be most beneficial to expectant parents and parents with children up to 24 months of age.

Questions discussed will include: What are you going to do with your baby when you go back to work? What is the difference between a nanny and an au pair? How is a childcare center different from an in-home care center? What if you want your aunt or neighbor to watch your baby? What can you afford?

The lecture is free, with a suggested $10 donation, and pre-registration is required. For more information, visit www.peps.org/parents/peps-lecture-series.
