In 2012, PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) launched PEPS for Dads, a group for primary caregiver dads with babies between 0 and 12 months old. As a result of the success of this program, and the clear need for more support for primary-caregiver dads, PEPS has added an Eastside PEPS for Dads Group. This group will meet weekly on Thursdays from 12:30 to 2 p.m. for 11 weeks at the Bellevue Family YMCA.
Registration is open now for the first Eastside session, which begins April 4. The group was created to help dads meet other dads who are experiencing the same highs and lows of parenthood. Want to know more? Read about how PEPS for Dads got started.
PEPS is a local nonprofit that has been helping new parents connect in the greater Seattle area for 30 years. PEPS offers groups for parents of newborns, infants and second children. PEPS groups help new moms and dads get the support they need from others in their community. In a PEPS Group, parents meet (with their babies), share and learn in sessions facilitated by a trained volunteer.
