Town Square Plaza in downtown Kent is hosting the summer carousel, which opens Saturday, July 16, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 28. It will re-open Sept. 3 and 4 for Labor Day weekend.
The City partners with local nonprofit organizations serving youth to operate the carousel. The carousel is free, but proceeds from a suggested $2 donation per ride will support Girl Scout Troop 41104.
The carousel’s weekly hours are: Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Thursdays, 5 to 8 p.m.; Fridays, 5 to 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m. Town Square Plaza is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue and Harrison Street in Kent.
