Seattle Art Museum and Partners Close Until Mid-February for Furlough

The Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Asian Art Museum and Olympic Sculpture Park Pavilion will be closed to the public for two weeks, from Monday, Jan. 31 to Tuesday, Feb. 15. Like many institutions, the museum has been financially challenged over the past two years; the two-week furlough is necessary at this time to avoid even greater reductions.

During this time, the Olympic Sculpture Park grounds and Seattle Art Museum Gallery, located in the Seattle Tower at 1220 3rd Ave., will remain open. Visit the Seattle Art Museum's web site to learn more about the furlough, and what is being done to balance their budget.
