Snohomish Student Photography Contest Winners on Exhibit in Everett

The Schack Art Center received more than 190 entries for its 2011 Black & White Photography Contest, which was open to all Snohomish County High School students. Photographs were judged in two categories, traditional analog prints and digital output prints.

An exhibit of all the entries will be on display in the Schack Art Center (2921 Hoyt Ave. in Everett) now through Saturday, May 14. The following students were awarded winners of the contest:

Grand Prize: Dylan Boyce, a junior at Lake Stevens High School, won the grand prize for his digital entry “Hidden Scars”

  • 1st Place, Zack Angeline, “City Streets,” Archbishop Murphy High School, Grade 12
  • 2nd Place, Annette Borowski, “Strike Against,” Edmonds-Woodway High School, Grade 11

  • 4th Place, Derek de Jonge, “Shredding the Gnar!” Snohomish High School, Grade 11
