Low tides bring aturalist-led beach walks all up and down the coast. Here’s what’s coming up in July.
Seattle Aquarium Beach Explorations
Beach naturalists will be at Puget Sound beaches during low tides over the summer through the Seattle Aquarium’s beach explorations program. The events are free – just show up and look for the naturalists. Make sure and dress for the weather; waterproof footwear recommended. www.seattleaquarium.org.

Discovery Park Low Tide Beach Exploration
Join a Discovery Park naturalist for beach exploration. This event, for ages 8 and older, follows a rocky beach and is a long walk. Make sure to wear shoes that can get wet. The event is free, but you’ll need to pre-register. 3801 W. Government Way, Seattle. 206-386-4237. www.seattle.gov/parks.
