The ABC’s of Assessment: A Dyslexia Conference for Parents and Educators

The Washington branch of the International Dyslexia Association will be holding its 2011 Spring Conference for educators and families on Saturday, March 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Black River Conference Center (800 Oakesdale Ave. S.W. in Renton). The morning session is geared toward educators, with clock hours available, and the afternoon session is for families.

The presentations will cover the purpose of diagnostic testing, deciphering and understanding results, clarifying commonly used terms, fundamentals of language development and “red flags” for language and auditory processing.
