Woodland Park Zoo Posts New Baby Wallaroo Video

A baby wallaroo, known as a joey in the marsupial world, has made its first appearance outside its mother’s pouch at Woodland Park Zoo. The joey, gender unknown, was born last September to mother Fergie and father Harry and is Fergie’s first offspring.

Fergie is on public view in the zoo’s Australasia exhibit and can be identified by the green tag in her right ear. The best chance for zoo-goers to get a glimpse of the joey is during feedings in the morning and at the end of the day. Fergie generally spends her time in the indoor portion of the exhibit except on sunny days, when she ventures into the outdoor portion.
