You Can’t Beat It: Local Theaters Offer $1 Films this Summer

Regal Entertainment Group’s “Summer Movie Express” program, which offers families a chance to see a show for just $1 per person, runs now through the end of August.

During the nine-week program, select theaters will offer selected G- or PG-rated movies for $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Popular flicks include Ice Age: Continental Drift; Mr. Poppers’ Penguins; Rio; and Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Will Rogers Institute, which helps educate the public on health and fitness issues.

Participating theaters in the Seattle area include:

  • Auburn Stadium 17
  • Crossroads Stadium 8 (Bellevue)
  • Everett Stadium 16 & RPX
  • Alderwood Stadium 7 & RPX (Lynnwood)
  • The Landing Stadium 14 & RPX (Renton)
  • Thornton Place Stadium 14 & IMAX (Seattle)
