Seattle Aquarium at Neighborhood House Learn about ocean animals with games, puppets, songs and discussion. Also learn about marine mammals through hands-on exploration of pelts, bones, and teeth. Recommended for ages 3 to 5. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Neighborhood House—High Point (West Seattle).

Tinkerlab STEM Challenge Drop in and learn with Teen Service Learners while working on a STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math)-based challenge. There will be something for everyone ages 3 and older. 2:30 to 4 p.m. Seattle Public Library—Southwest Branch (West Seattle).

Museum First Thursday Enjoy free admission to select museums (note: there may be admission for special exhibits) including Burke Museum (University District), Museum of History and Industry (South Lake Union), Seattle Art Museum (Downtown Seattle), Northwest African American Museum, Living Computers Museum + Labs 5 to 8 p.m. (Sodo), and Museum of Flight 5 to 9 p.m. (Tukwila). Wing Luke Museum has a children’s story time followed by an art activity at 11 a.m. featuring The Race for the Chinese Zodiac by Gabrielle Wang.
Nordic Stories During the renovation of the Nordic Heritage Museum (through May 2018), Nordic Stories will be held at Secret Garden Bookshop. Enjoy Nordic themed stories followed by hands-on activities on the first Thursday of each month. This month’s book is Moomin and the Birthday Button by Tove Jansson. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Secret Garden Books (Ballard).
Music Heals Concert Join KEXP and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Proton Therapy Center in the Gathering Space for a special performance from local musician, Caspar Babypants. Enjoy this family-friendly dance party celebrating hope and survival. 6 p.m. KEXP Gathering Space (Lower Queen Anne).

Sunday, February 4
Sunday Public Sail Each Sunday, the Center for Wooden Boats offers free 45-minute rides on Lake Union. Set sail on one of the classic boats. Sign up for a slot in person, several trips throughout the day. Space is limited. Sign up begins at 10 a.m. Center for Wooden Boats (Lake Union).
