Paint little rocks, go on a scavenger hunt, and exchange a puzzle. All for free!

Monday, February 19

Juggling Club Beginner to pro, all skills are welcome in this weekly club. Bring your own items to juggle or borrow/purchase them. Recommended for ages 5 and older. 7 to 8 p.m. Top Ten Toys (Greenwood).

 

Tuesday, February 20

Open Play Seattle Children’s PlayGarden is a space that celebrates all needs and abilities. Today, explore maps, learn where different people come from and create a map of the PlayGarden. Bring in your favorite map to share (optional). 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Seattle Children’s PlayGarden (Central District).

 

Wednesday, February 21

Open Play: Scavenger Hunt Celebrate African-American inventors, scientists, astronauts, artists, and more in a PlayGarden Scavenger Hunt. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Seattle Children’s PlayGarden (Central District).

 

Thursday, February 22

Top Ten Toys Play Day: Painting Rocks Make little creatures to hide in fairy gardens or create a low maintenance pet with painted rocks. Recommended for ages 6 and older. 4 to 5 p.m. Top Ten Toys (Greenwood).

Little Bugs, Big World Puppet Show A puppet show about a ladybug, a caterpillar and their travels around the world. 10:30 a.m. Shoreline Library (Shoreline).

 

Friday, February 23

Puzzle Exchange Bring an old puzzle to trade with another puzzle lover. Also try out new puzzles. 7 p.m. Blue Highway Games (Queen Anne).

 

Saturday, February 24

Pacific Northwest Yo-Yo Championships See top yo-yo talent from the region and around the country compete. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Seattle Center – Armory (Lower Queen Anne).

Free Family Weekend Walk Enjoy a 90-minute walk, and stop along the way for games, hands-on activities and learning geared toward children (ages 2 to 12). Meet in front of the Graham Visitors Center at 1 p.m. Washington Park Arboretum (Montlake).

Saturday Story Time Enjoy a story or two with local storyteller, Ilan Speizer. 11 a.m. Third Place Books (Ravenna).

 

Sunday, February 25

Sunday Public Sail Each Sunday, the Center for Wooden Boats offers free 45-minute rides on Lake Union. Set sail on one of the beautiful, classic boats. Sign up for a slot in person, several trips throughout the day starting at 10 a.m. Space is limited.  Center for Wooden Boats (South Lake Union).

Pop Up Virtual Reality Try virtual reality art immersion such as digital painting and sculpturing. Put on a VR goggle and unleash your imagination. 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Beacon Arts (Beacon Hill).
