Magic Monday Held the second Monday of the month, each show features the Pacific Northwest's finest magicians performing feats of mystery, wonder and the bizarre. 7 p.m. Third Place Books (Ravenna).
Juggling Club Beginner to pro, all skills are welcome in this weekly club. Bring your own items to juggle or borrow/purchase them. Recommended for ages 5 and older. 7 to 8 p.m. Top Ten Toys (Greenwood).

University Village Playdays Free story time, crafts and fun activities for kids each week. Peek Kids, located near the play structure, is hosting this week. 10 a.m. University Village (U District).

Kids Graphic Novel Book Group Learn about different kinds of graphic novels and how to make your own. Explore the process of creating characters, framing art, story arcs, and more. Bring a favorite graphic novel to share, and art supplies. Today, the featured graphic novel is All’s Faire In Middle School by Victoria Jamieson. 3:30 p.m. University Book Store (University District).

Cultural Celebration of Three Kings Day Celebrate the Latin American holiday with a piñata, a small gift, and a special guest. 5 to 7 p.m. Seattle Public Library – Lake City Branch (Lake City).

45th Annual Community Celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Listen to keynote speaker, Ijeoma Oluo (author of So You Want To Talk About Race) and hear award-winning gospel music by DaNell Daymon and Greater Works. Doors open at 11 a.m., program begins at 12:30 p.m. Mount Zion Baptist Church (Capitol Hill).
Saturday, January 13
Nature and Gardening Story Time Stories and activities that celebrate gardens, plants and nature. Today’s theme is winter wildlife and the stories focus on where animals go when the weather gets cold. 10:30 a.m. Elisabeth C. Miller Library (U District).
MLK Youth March Join a youth-organized march to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Hear from keynote speakers, enjoy live music, and participate in workshops. Following the march there will be a group discussion, games, trivia, and free lunch. The march begins at Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park and ends at Rainier Community Center. 11 a.m.
Sunday January 14
ArtVenture: Move, Act, Animate! ArtVentures encourage families to think about art in new ways. Each month, explore a big idea through hands-on activities. Today, experiment with stop-motion and photography to think through how the body, movement, and gestures can express personal identities. Pre-registration recommended. 1 to 3 p.m. Henry Art Gallery (U District).
Pop Up Virtual Reality Put on virtual reality goggles, and enjoy a full art immersion experience including digital painting and sculpturing. 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Beacon Arts (Beacon Hill).

Free National Parks Celebrate Martin Luther King Day with free admission to National Parks including Mount Rainier and Olympic National Park. View available parks here.
