Monday, May 15

Pajama Storytime Kids can wind down with story time, songs and crafts. Pajamas and stuffed animals encouraged. 6:45-7:15 p.m. Queen Anne Library (Queen Anne).

Wednesday, May 17

17th of May Festival: Syttende Mai Celebrate Norwegian Constitution day with FREE admission to the Nordic Heritage Museum from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Enjoy Nordic entertainment at the corner of Market Street and 22nd Avenue N.W.  from noon-6 p.m. Save a spot for the parade from 6-8 p.m., starting at 62nd Street N.W. and 24th Avenue N.W.

Thursday, May 18

Children’s Hour at Scarecrow Video Using a combination of short films, story books curated by the Seattle Public Library, and hands-on art activities, children will learn about the world in this weekly series. 10:30 a.m. Scarecrow Video (Roosevelt).

Friday, May 19

Japanese Anime & Manga Arts Festival Celebrate anime and manga while learning more about Japanese culture with music, presentations, food trucks (May 20), movie screenings and a live drawing demonstration by award winning manga artist, Yoshimi Kurata. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. on May 19, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. May 20. Everett Community College (Everett).

Saturday, May 20

Family Fun Day Families are invited to enjoy face painting, children's story time (in both English and Hawai’ian), hands-on art activities (including textile weaving and hackey sack making), a showing of Moana and much more. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wing Luke Museum (International Dist.)

Seattle Chinese Arts and Culture Festival Explore and experience the cultural roots and contemporary influences of China through live performances, visual arts, hands-on activities, foods, games, and a lively marketplace.  11 a.m.-6 p.m. Seattle Center Armory (Lower Queen Anne).

Sunday, May 21

Touch-a-Truck A hands-on opportunity to explore working trucks of all types, as well as meet the people who build, protect and serve the Seattle community. Plus, face painting, coloring activities, giveaways, and an ice cream truck. "Horns-free hour" from 9-10 a.m. for children with special needs and sensitive ears. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Magnuson Park, off 65th Street Entrance. (Sand Point).

Seattle JazzED Jamboree Enjoy live jazz music from students of the JazzED program (grades 4 through 12) directed by some of Seattle’s best jazz artists including  Clarence Acox, Wayne Horvitz, and Cora Jackson. 11:30 a.m. Town Hall (First Hill).
