The holidays are over and it’s time to get back into a routine. If you’re home with your tykes during the day, there are several craft and story times happening around town. For older kids, beach walks, cartoons, magic shows and roller skating can help beat the back-to-school blues.
Monday, January 6
SBCC’s Anniversary Celebration. All week, South Bellevue Community Center is offering free fitness classes and activities for families. Try rock climbing, Zumba, indoor play, yoga, and much more. Today through Jan. 11, check website for schedule of events. South Bellevue Community Center, Bellevue.

Wednesday, January 8
Winter Preschool Storytime. Enjoy winter-themed books, sing-alongs, and creative activities at the library today. Afterward, play with friends or make a craft. 10 to 11 a.m. Mountlake Terrace Library.

Baby & Me Storytime. Bring your little one to sing songs, hear stories, and play with other babies at this sweet storytime. Two sessions today; 10 and 11 a.m. Edmonds Library, Downtown Edmonds.
Cartoon Happy Hour. Enjoy classic cartoons, complete with all the slapstick comedy you could ever need. Two hours of cartoons are shown on the big screen each week. 5 to 7 p.m. Central Cinema, Seattle.

Winter Wings. Take a nature walk and learn all about birds. How do they migrate? Which ones stick around the Puget Sound for the winter? Bring your questions and your curiosity. 10 to 11 a.m. Lake Hills Greenbelt Ranger Station, Bellevue.

Mossyback Morris Men Concert. A mix of street theater and dance, this group performs an ancient form of British ritual dance called "The Morris," celebrating earth and the seasons.
