PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) and Jewish Family Services are partnering to offer a newborn group for Jewish families starting Monday, March 7. This peer support group will help parents of newborns within a culturally-sensitive context.
In addition to universal topics such as new roles and responsibilities (feeding and sleeping), this partnership offers a chance to address Jewish traditions and resources in the Jewish community. Jewish and interfaith parents are invited to join the group.
The meetings will be held on Monday evenings, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., for 12 weeks. At evening PEPS groups, some parents attend solo, but many attend with a partner. The group will primarily meet at members homes, and Jewish community locations are available for some sessions as well.
