Guilda’s Club Seattle, an organization committed to supporting people with cancer and their families, will team up with members of the Seattle Police Department and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to present a lecture on internet safety for all members of the family.
The Cyberworld, Your Kids, and You lecture is part of the Gilda’s Club Family Support program and will feature task force representative and victim advocae Stefanie Thomas. She and law enforcement representatives will discuss the “reality of the cyberworld we live in.” Participants will leave with good knowledge of what is open and easily accessible on the internet, who is out there, cyber bulling, prevention, and how to communicate with your kids about safely navigating cyberspace. Thomas will present for an hour and there will be time for questions and answers after the lecture.
