Watch a Televised Discussion With Seattle Public Schools Superintendent Goodloe-Johnson

The Seattle Channel, in partnership with CityClub and Town Hall, will present a live televised discussion on Thursday, Feb. 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. featuring Seattle Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Maria Goodloe-Johnson, Seattle Education Association President Olga Addea, School Board member Kay Smith-Blum and PTSA President Lauren McGuire. Seattle Channel’s C.R. Douglas will host this event at Town Hall.

Watch the “Seattle Speaks” program on the Seattle Channel (cable channel 21) or online at www.seattlechannel.org. Follow the action from home and respond to the same poll questions as the in-studio audience, as well as submit your own comments. To learn more about participating, visit www.seattlecityclub.org.

Discussion questions include: Are Seattle Public Schools working, or is it time for more reform? We are halfway through the district’s four-year strategic plan; are we seeing any results? Are current resources being used as wisely as they could be? What can we learn from other communities?
