All Seattle School Board incumbents survive primary

All four incumbent Seattle School Board members appear to have survived Tuesday's primary — an election widely seen as a referendum on the board's handling of financial scandals and an unpopular superintendent.

Although the incumbents have likely advanced in a crowded field, only Peter Maier claimed 50 percent of the votes, setting up strong challenges to their seats in the November general election, when the top two vote-getters in each of the four primary races will advance to citywide voting.
