Guide to consignment shops in and around Seattle

Make your family clothing budget go farther

Children’s consignment shops can be a holiday — and everyday — saver for everyone, especially in Seattle. According to U.S. News & World Report 2023-24 survey, ours is the 13th most expensive city to live in in the country. Shopping at a children’s consignment shop can help families manage the region’s high cost of living and the needs, and even holiday wishes, of their kids, not to mention buying gently used clothing and toys is good for the environment, good for supporting a local business, and, if you consign yourself, good for clearing out your closets.

Luckily the city and its surrounding areas are home to a number of children’s consignment shops that offer high-quality clothing and some toys with minimal, if any, signs of wear. Some also sell maternity wear, nursing tops, carriers, strollers, and other baby-related gear — expensive items that often still look and perform like new. Once you shop consignment, you may never go back.
