Roll out the (virtual) red carpet!
King County Library System will hold its KCLS Reel Fest Film Premiere and Awards Show online Monday evening (Sept. 28).
KCLS Reel Fest, a short-film contest and festival, was launched last fall when people were asked to make and submit two-minute films about what the library meant to them.
The result? An impressive outpouring of heartfelt library stories.
Plans for an in-person premiere and awards show were put on hold by the coronavirus pandemic, but the show must go on!
Monday’s 7 p.m. event will feature premieres of the top 10 films in both youth and adult categories, interviews with the filmmakers and expert judges, and announcement of the winners.
Viewers should register in advance for the free online event. In the meantime, here’s a preview to watch.
