Teacher of the Year Contest Awards Classroom Supplies and Party by Ivar’s or Kidd Valley

In honor of National Teacher Appreciation month in May, Ivar’s and Kidd Valley restaurants are calling on kindergarten through eighth grade students to nominate their favorite teacher for a chance to win 2011 Teacher of the Year honors.

A top teacher from both Ivar’s and Kidd Valley will be selected as a grand prize winner and will win a $500 gift card for school supplies and a classroom chowder or burger party. To nominate a teacher, students 14 years or younger may visit any Puget Sound area Ivar’s or Kidd Valley location (excluding stadiums) to complete an entry form, or go to the Ivar’s or Kidd Valley web sites to fill out an online form. Entries must be received by Sunday, May 22.

This is the eighth annual Teacher of the Year contest. As in previous years, the contest will honor educators that go above and beyond the call of duty to teach, mentor and support their students. In addition to the grand prizes, the contest will also award four teachers with a $150 gift card for school supplies, and 30 teachers with a $25 Ivar’s or Kidd Valley gift card.
