The Lynnwood Recreation Center is set to reopen on Thursday, April 28. The renovated center, located at 18900 44th Ave. W., will be dedicated with a public ceremony from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by two free open house sessions, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., where the public is invited to come experience all the center has to offer.
The renovation of the 33-year-old building adds 16,000 square feet of new space with a focus on aquatics and fitness. The facility features a new recreation pool with two water slides, a river with current, beach entry and water play structures, warm water wellness pool, a new partially-retractable pool roof over the lap pool, and adult and family hot tubs. Other family-friendly additions include a new fitness and dance studio, seven family changing rooms, and new men's and women's locker rooms.

In addition, the Newport Way Library will celebrate a grand reopening on Saturday, April 30, at 9:30 a.m. The public is invited to commemorate the expansion of this library, which is located at 4055 Factoria Mall S.E. in Bellevue.
